About the project
Our Toys for Ukraine project is an extension of the Banana Box project and is aimed at supporting Ukrainian children who arrive in the Selby area under the Homes for Ukraine scheme. We have partnered with the charity Opora to provide a platform for Sponsors and their guests to make a direct referral to the Banana Box project.

Just to let you know I spoke to one of the families, via another refugee who speaks their language, who moved in this week, the banana boxes go into the house just before they arrive. I asked if they liked them and the mum and 2 teenagers were all absolutely overwhelmed with receiving them, all smiles and excitement when asked. They said to thank you very so much and that you are very kind. I thought the toiletries you included were extremely suitable because they are not given treats like that on arrival. 
Many thanks for the box of goodies that you dropped off with Andrew. Sofiia will be delighted. It is most kind of you to go out of your way to make sure that our Ukrainian visitors have such a welcome gift.
