It is estimated that poverty in the UK may rise to 5 million with the pandemic causing more hardship via job losses and staff being put on furlough. At Spirit of Christmas we hope to help children develop their minds by putting educational resources into our banana boxes. By improving a child’s education we may in time help them get better qualifications and better jobs that will hopefully help them break free from poverty.
